# Lello

> Lello is a calm bedtime story app for children aged about 3 to 7. It reads gentle, human-written stories aloud, with the child's first name and a buddy they choose placed in every story. It is published by Lineage Technologies in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is coming to iPhone and Android. As of 28 September 2026 it is not yet in the App Store or Google Play; families can join a waiting list at getlello.com.

- Stories: written and reviewed by people. The app does not make up stories on the fly.
- Personalisation: the child's first name and a chosen buddy (Twinkle, Pip, Luna, Bubbles, Sahara or Ziggy) appear in every story.
- Narration: a calm narrator reads each story aloud at a slow, calm or normal pace, with the words on screen.
- Sleep timer: 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes; reading stops by itself.
- Favourites: a heart saves a story to the child's favourites.
- Grown-ups area: settings, Tonight's story and purchases sit behind a grown-ups gate.
- Tonight's story: a parent types one line about the child's day; the phone matches it to the best-fitting story in the library, offline. The note is never saved and never leaves the phone.
- Privacy: the child's name, buddy, favourites and settings stay on the phone. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. On iPhone, story text is sent through Lello's server to a voice provider to create narration.
- Not claimed: Lello has no public ratings, reviews or user numbers yet, because it has not launched.
